We are an international, multicultural lodge of women freemasons – guided by masonic values such as tolerance, honesty, equality and fraternity and we are connected in sisterhood. We as women freemasons understand ‘fraternity’ as respect towards all human beings and the ‘sisterhood’ represents the connection to all women within the lodge.

Our lingua franca is English. It is the language most of us – more or less – understand, and that gives us the opportunity to exchange our ideas. Nevertheless, German is our association language, and the bilingual work opens up additional possibilities in communication and understanding.

The idea to establish an international English-speaking lodge for women in Berlin first emerged in the summer of 2018, following which sisters of several lodges of the Women’s Grand Lodge of Germany (FGLD) set up a regular working group under the control of the Women’s Grand Lodge of Germany. One year later in the summer of 2019 an association was founded with 12 full members. Finally on the 22nd of August 2021 we started our work as a lodge within the FGLD.

We meet at regular intervals to organise the next milestones, work our rituals, and discuss with sisters and guests several topics of social, political and individual importance.

Originating from different countries we have the

great opportunity to reflect our cultural backgrounds, to open our minds and while we sit and discuss our views of the world, we try to discover new horizons.
